Replicates: 3 wells per test concentration, 6 wells per solvent control,
3 wells per positive control
Metabolic activation: Induced rat liver S9
Test strains: Salmonella typhimurium strains TA98, TA100, TA1535, TA1537, TA97a, Escherichia coli strains WP2 uvrA pKM101, and WP2 uvrA
Test method: Plate incorporation
Test item requirements: 60 mg/5 strains
Highest test concentration: 1000 µg/well
Study duration: 4 weeks from experimental start to results
