In-Vivo Studies for Medical Devices
For medical devices that needs testing we perform all in vivo studies all the way up to chronic toxicity as well as LAL test for pyrogenicity and haemocompatibity testing.
Any medical device that comes into direct or indirect contact with the body should be evaluated for a potential unacceptable adverse biological response resulting from contact of the component materials of the device with the body.
The evaluation on which testing might be needed will be based on already existing data, the nature of body contact and the duration of contact.
