Scantox Group is the leading preclinical contract research company in the Nordic region. The company is within the Life Science industry and conducts studies for the pharmaceutical industry (pharma / medico / biotech), thus playing an important role in the development of new medicines.

Our head office, located in Denmark is currently employing approx.150 employees In addition, Scantox has two subsidiaries in Sweden. Scantox was founded in 1977 and has an ambitious growth strategy in partnership with the company’s investor Impilo, both nationally and internationally.

For our site in Lund, Sweden, we are now offering a highly interesting study director position. The study director will also to a certain degree take active part in study related practical activities of the laboratory. The employment is a permanent employment with immediate access.

Scantox Sweden-Lund is located in top-class facilities in Medicon Village in Lund, Sweden, and conducts exploratory preclinical in vivo studies through a variety of animal models i.e. rodents both transgenic and non-transgenic, as well as larger animal models such as minipigs and rabbits. Requirements

  • Master’s degree (M.S./M.A.) in a scientific related discipline alternatively a degree in veterinary medicine (DVM).
  • Experience with preclinical cancer-studies and/or preclinical studies within the neurological field is considered an advantage.
  • Experience from contract research or pharmaceutical industry is a clear advantage and will be preferred.
  • FELASA C certificate is required
  • Good knowledge of scientific principles, methods and techniques.
  • Good knowledge and demonstrated ability working with a variety of laboratory in vivo techniques is an advantage
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
  • Good command of English (oral and written – all protocol and reports are written in English)
  • It is an and advantage if you speak and understand Swedish since we are located in Lund, Sweden
  • Experience in PK-calculations and statistics is a plus, but not a must.

    Job Description
    Assists in the coordination of study conduct tasks from study initiation to study completion.

    • Performs studies and serves as the primary contact for the client, as assigned, and keeps the client informed of schedule and any unforeseen events or issues.
    • Knows and understands the Animal Welfare Requirements and serves as Principal Investigator, when applicable.
    • Serves as the Study Director for non-GLP preclinical in vivo studies
    • May need to participate in study specific procedures.
    • Interacts as needed with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and other individuals or departments.
    • Manages (motivates, communicates) internal multidisciplinary team members to ensure that client expectations are met.
    • Assures that all data are accurately recorded and organized.
    • Evaluates, analyzes, and interprets study data and presents in a clear, well-organized, scientifically sound report.

    • Other duties as assigned.
